Soil pest

Nematodes

Root-knot, cyst and Pratylenchus

  • Soil pest
  • Soil and in-furrow application
  • For different crops
  • Biological and sustainable control

Overview

Microscopic worms that parasitize roots: they form galls and lesions and create patches of stunted, yellowing plants. The roots stop absorbing water and nutrients, and yield drops season after season.

How to monitor

Nematode analysis of soil and roots and mapping of the patches to track how they evolve.

When to apply

At planting, in-furrow, to protect the roots from day one. In areas with a history of nematodes, repeat every season.

Biological management strategy

Pochonia chlamydosporia and Paecilomyces lilacinus parasitize nematode eggs and females, and Trichoderma harzianum protects the rhizosphere. Blend Bac reinforces this with Bacillus that form a biological barrier on the roots and stimulate rooting.
